Leaf from a Bible, probably written in France in the mid- or late 13th century, including the giving of the Ten Commandments. The text, Deuteronomy 4:40-7:12, is written in 2 columns of 57 lines of Gothic cursive script, frame-ruled in lead, beginning below the line. The running title and chapter numbers are written in alternating red and blue letters, and the first letter of chapters alternates between red flourished with blue and blue flourished with red.
