Notes
- Ms. codex.
- Title supplied by cataloger (Zacour-Hirsch).
- First part is incomplete at beginning; third part is incomplete at beginning and end.
- Incipit of second part: (f. 3r) Ce sont li contes que maistres Guillaumes de Salins rent de la terre que madame a en Bourgoigne.
- Several of the folios are badly stained. Folios 8-9 have large tears, and f. 9 in particular shows signs of mildew damage.
- Quires sewn together. No cover.
- This is a fragment of a larger codex manuscript. The three manuscripts Paris, Bibl. nat., ms. fr. 8551 and Besançon, Bibl. mun., mss. 914 and 914 appear to be fragments of the same accounts. All were part of the massive 3-volume collection assembled by A.-A. Monteil (cf. Benton-Fohlen, p. 501 and Monteil, II:210), which was later taken apart for sale, possibly also by Monteil.
- The manuscript Paris, Bibl. nat., Coll. Moreau, ms. 900 contains extracts which may be related to this manuscript and which appear to have been made before the larger codex was taken apart and the fragments dispersed (cf. Roberts, p. 27).
