Summary

Selections from Baudhāyana's Prayogasāra as compiled by Keśavasvāmin, and is a collection of rules and regulations (dharma or Hindu law) containing Vedic rites for use by Hotṛ priests; first part accented for recitation (f. 1r-3v); most of the manuscript is devoted to the Vājapeya, a work focusing on the Vedic elixir or drug soma, known as a drink taken before battle to enhance energy and strength.

• Title for manuscript from colophon for predominant work (f. 15v); title of other works Potṛtvaprayoga and Agnīdhraprayoga from internal colophons (Part 1, 3r and 3v respectively).
