Summary

Manuscript is used for consultation on matters pertaining to Hindu religious laws and customs (dharma) and is a compendium of various rules and guidelines governing different Hindu rituals, practices, prayers, and observances (vratas); contains descriptions of systems of time and describes the best times of year to perform different various rituals, such as worship (pūjā) associated with specific deities.

The text is divided into four sections, but section three is foliated into two parts, thus the manuscript as a whole is divided into five individually foliated parts.
