Summary
This carta executoria, issued in the name of Philip II of Spain in favor of the brothers Luis and Andrés Ordóñez of Móstoles in response to their litigation to establish noble status, was written in Valladolid and signed on June 25, 1577. It has elaborate illuminations on the first pages that are typical of this type of document, but the text, written in a rounded Gothic script, is mostly undecorated except for occasional illuminated words marking the beginning of sections. The illuminations are protected by blue silk curtains and the document is sewn in a single gathering with a multicolored cord.
