Summary

This Book of Hours of the Use of Paris includes a calendar that lists numerous saints associated with Paris. The calendar is followed by the Obsecro te and O intemerata prayers, the Hours of the Virgin, Penitential Psalms with Litany and Prayers, Hours of the Cross, Hours of the Holy Spirit, Office of the Dead and Suffrages. The manuscript includes nine large arched miniatures and a further seventeen small square miniatures (three for the Gospel Lessons, one for the O intemerata, and thirteen for the Suffrages). Pages with miniatures for the Obsecro te, Lauds for the Hours of the Virgin, Prime for the Hours of the Virgin, Hours of the Cross, Office of the Dead, and for the Suffrage to Saint Anthony (between fols. 137 and 138). The final Suffrage to Saint Barbara (fol. 140v) is lacking its ending, suggesting that the final portion of the book is missing.
