Written in Gothic cursive script. 2 5-line initials in red with brown penwork (f. 1r); 2-line to 4-line initials in red, at the beginning of each new letter section and occasionally for entries in the middle of letter sections, through H (f. 6v-89r); capitals touched with red (f. 1r-89r).
