Often includes the name of the members of the guild (including Luigi Nestri and Pierantonio Benucci), whether a transaction was a debt or a credit, and how said transaction impacted the partial balance sheet. For each balance sheet there is a short description of the financial situation of the guild at the time the balance sheet was compiled, and whether there were unpaid debts from members, or whether profits had exceeded expenses, resulting in credits or dividends for the tintori. 5 notes, concerning transactions of members of the Gondi family and dated 1733-1734, are laid in the manuscript. Similar to Briquet, Soleil 13957 (Pisa, 1593), but with a smaller moon inside the sun. 14 leaves : 290 x 204 mm. bound to 297 x 206 mm. + Paper, i (paper) + 14 leaves + i (paper); versos numbered 1-6, [7-14], contemporary pagination in ink, modern pagination in pencil, upper left verso; rectos numbered [i], 1-6, [7-13] contemporary pagination in ink, modern pagination in pencil, upper right recto (pages 8-14 are blank). Written in 2 columns with vertical bounding lines in lead; the large central column with a brief description of the transaction, including the name of the counterparts involved in the transaction, and the smaller one on the right with the amount received. Sometimes long lines are also used. Written in a cursive script.

Contemporary vellum; the heading Libro Segreto on upper cover; lower cover wraps around upper cover with leather ties.

Written in Florence between 1633 (p. 1) and 1641 (p. 2).
