[329-340]) that shows that the remedies are largely arranged in alphabetical order when considered by topic rather than title; leaves with the entries from the end of C to the end of O are missing (between p. 332 and 333). The largest group of remedies are for the plague (p. 181-198). Smaller sections of the manuscript are devoted to prayers related to pregnancy, illness, and death (p. 275-293; published in Charles Duvernoy's La semaine sainte, first published in 1656); selected sonnets from Laurent Drelincourt’s Sonnets chrètiens sur divers sujets (p. 293-300, 327-328; first published in 1677); and abridged excerpts from Kenelm Digby’s Discours fait en une célèbre assemblée, touchant la guérison des playes par la poudre de sympathie (p. 301-326), probably copied from the version found in Nouveaux secrets expérimentez, pour conserver la beauté des dames : et pour guérir plusieurs sortes de maladies (editions in the late 17th and early 18th centuries), based on the attribution to Digby as chancelier de la reine d'Angleterre (p. 308). On a back flyleaf from an earlier binding, a later hand, probably late 18th-century, has copied verses from a version of the ballad of the Juif errant (Wandering Jew; p. [341-342]). [332]; additional leaves may be missing between p. [332-333]).

 Written in 20 long lines; ruled in hardpoint; octavo format. Written in cursive script by a single hand, with occasional notes and one table of contents entry added by a later (late 18th-century?) hand.

Later (19th-century?) quarter leather with paper over cardboard covers.

Probably written in France in the 18th century (Konstantinopel).
