Parts 325-333 of the history of the city of Damascus by Ibn ʻAsākir, contains parts of the sections on people with the name ʻUthmān; includes several readers' notes and transmission notes. The leaves have been silked and remounted onto pages measuring 267 x 178 mm.

Bound in modern cardboard half covers with marbled paper sides, red leather spine and corners; same marbled paper pastedowns.

The item is undated, though transmission notes place the copy in the 12th century; the first transmission note says the copy was heard read by the author on 21 Rabīʻ al-Awwal in the Mosque of Damascus in 536 AH (31 October 1141 CE) (f. 20r).
