86 leaves : 198 x 130 (132 x 72) mm, bound to 198 x 136 x 16 mm 11 long lines or tables with 3 columns and 5 rows of names; folios with the most extensive marginalia are blind ruled for marginalia. Written in naskh in black ink; pointed, vocalized. Textblock is border-ruled in gold, red, black and pink. Gold and polychrome headpiece with text on abbreviated cloudbands (f. 1v). Numerous polychrome illuminated section headings, tailpieces, and marginal markers. Gilt roundels and occasional floral sprays punctuate the text. Bright, polychrome floral composition finispiece below the colophon, which is written on cloudbands (f. 71v). Front cover is dark brown leather with gilt-stamped paper onlay of a central mandorla, two pendants on the vertical axis, corner pieces, and a border register of cartouches with a gilt-stamped frame; back cover is gilt stamped on lighter brown leather with a diamond-shaped motif in the middle and a double frame. Doublure is glossy paper with wide pink lines on the inside of the front cover and wide, light blue lines on the inside of the back cover.

Copy completed in 1171 AH. by Ḥusayn al-Būsnawī, a student of al-Sayyid Sulaymān, known as Khaṭīb Muḥammad Pāshā (f. 71v).
