Summary

Composite manuscript containing 8 works and pages of notations, written in at least three hands. The majority of the works are related to Ḥadīth and other anecdotes related to Muḥammad and other prophets. Some of the paper is machine made; the flyleaves and blank pages have also been covered in notes; some pages have been removed.

Binding

Bound in brown leather with flap (Type II); blind-tooled frame with stamped central mandorla and small flower stamps in the interior corners of the frame; coordinating stamp on the flap; plain paper pastedowns; endbands in blue and white chevron pattern.

Layout

Written in 15-24 long lines with poetry in two columns.

Decoration

Rubrications in red and blue; two simple finispieces in red and green (p. 118, 135); textblock ruled in red and brown (p. 109, 118, 135).

Script

Written in maghribī in dark brown and black ink; pointed.
