Copy of a treatise; two volumes in one; the first about intellect, reason, ignorance, the second about politics. The copy has several watercolor illustrations.

Binding

Black leather with embossed, painted, and laquered central mandorla, two pendants on the vertical axis and cornerpieces. Framed in Arabic calligraphy citing a ḥadīth from the Prophet Muḥammad. Doublure is printed paper with honeycomb pattern in brown, orange, blue, and red.

21-22 long lines.

Decoration

Rubrications in red. 17 larger illustrations about knowledge, chiefly in black and brown with some polychrome including green, orange, blue (f. 5v, 15v, 19r, 23v, 25v, 31v, 33r, 38r, 39r, 43v, 47r, 48v, 54r, 57v, 107v, 129r, 130r). Several leaves of tables in black (f. 152r, 190v-192v, 208v-213r).

Script

Written in nasta'liq for Persian and naskh for Arabic.
