Notes
- Verse endings denoted by a punctus, the end of a strophe by two or three dots; headings in enlarged, squared characters. Fragments of four dirges, the subject of which are specified in the heading. They are apparently a formulary, not for a named person. In all four the strophes are constructed of three rhyming verses and a fourth which is a biblical phrase, ending with the theme word, the subject of the dirge; sporadic vocalization. A. The last four strophes of a dirge in which the strophes end with the theme subject: "Judah". B. A complete copy of a 6-strophe dirge in which the strophes end with the theme subject: "Jacob". Starts רצה נפש נענה. C. A dirge in which the strophes end with the theme subject: "Cohen". The fragment contains the first 12 strophes, and the last nine ones, the rest are missing in the torn upper edge of the folio. Starts הילילו הילילו בבכי הגדילו. D. (Verso) Specified for the death of a youngster, the strophes end with the theme "נפשי", and the refrainכי רחוק ממני מנחם משיב נפשי (Lam. I 16). The folio ends in the sixth strophe.
