Summary

Book of Bakashot according to the late 19th century custom of Aleppo, associated with the Aleppo hymnist Raphael Antebi Taboush (1853-1918; written in the hand of his student, Moses Ashear; autograph on f. 223r), likely written circa 1893; many of the compositions are by Raphael Antebi Taboush (sometimes under the composer's name Rafaʼel ʻAdes).

Notes

• Written in a Syrian-Sephardic cursive script; initial words and highlights written in a Sephardic square script (black ink outline, filled with orange paint inside letters). Contemporary printed stickers pasted on select blanks.
