Mention of early members of the Binswanger family include the donation of the estate of Wolf Binswanger to the community (1707-8; 564c); the controversy and tribunal against hiring the son of the rabbinical minister, 1791 (564g); tax collections and documentation of sources of income for Binswangen Jewry, and efforts of the parnassim to extract payment for dues recorded in the community pinkas.
