Summary

An oblong, volume with marbled paper covers comprising receipts of payment on behalf of the estate of Moses Levy spanning the years 1822 to 1823. John Bailey served as executor and made payments for the estate. Payments were made to various merchants in Hamburg for advertisements, repairs, and tuition for Nathan and Sarah Levy. Receipts of payment were also recorded for Mary Levy. The volume is written in the manner of a reporter's notebook with the text written parallel to the spine. The receipts are written on nine pages of the volume with quotations on the last page. The remainder of the volume is blank.
