Contemporary half leather over wooden boards, with brass catches (clasps missing) (Zacour-Hirsch); upper cover has pastedown paper; lower cover has pastedown parchment with neumes from a gradual (probably Aquitaine) with decoration from southern France.

Written in 2 columns of 34 lines; ruled in lead.
