Summary
A treatise on legal procedure in Bologna, consisting of civil, canon and criminal law. Divided into 5 thematic parts addressing the types of law and legal proceedings as used in Bologna: the first dealing with approved practices in both civil and ecclesiastical cases of the court; the second dealing with spiritual cases; the third with criminal charges against clergy; the fourth with lawyers and libel; and the fifth with dispensations.

Ego Egidius de Fosccariis [sic] civis Bononiae doctor decretorum licet indignus ad instantiam quorundam meorum scolarium et ad eruiditionem novorum advocatorum et militantium in jure canonico, qui licet periti in jure existant ignorantes praticam, causas tamen nesciunt ordinare, etiam ad instructionem judicum et notariorum aggredior praesens opus, in quo qualiter causae tam civiles quam spirituales ac etiam criminales secundum ordinem juris et laudabilem consuetudinem civitatis Bononiae tractari debeant... (f. 1r). Explicit: ...laus tibi sit Christe quoniam liber explicit iste. Qui scripsit scribat semper cum domine vivat (f. 20r).
