Original (18th-century) calf, simple gilt spine with title Gran. Tari.

Decoration

Fleur-de-lis cross outlined with the words of the Latin hymn Vexilla regis in tiny script (f. 66r); rectangular array, titled Sic vita fugit dum staré videtur, of the letters in the French sundial motto, Nos jours passent comme l'ombre, arranged with the first N at the center and the last E at the 4 corners so that any path using only 2 directions from the center to a corner spells out the phrase (f. 82v).
