Bound in brown leather over pasteboard with flap on the right side as the book opens (Type II); gilded paper central mandorla onlay with gold tooled pendants and frame. Gilded paper onlay on the flap as well.

Layout

15 long lines; border ruled.

Decoration

Rubrications in red; headings in red set off by gold rules. Illuminated headpiece in gold, purple and green on opening page (f. 1v); textblock border-ruled in gold and black, with an additional red rule on the first opening (f. 1v-2r).

Script

Written in nastaʻlīq using black ink; pointed, unvocalized.

• Formerly owned by Aḥmad Rifʻat ibn al-Ḥājj Muḥammad Fākhir al-Z̤amāqavī, known as Ibn Aghū (?) (owner's note and stamp, f. 1r).
