Summary

Manuscript used for consultation or teaching is an arrangement of and commentary on the sūtras of the grammarian Pāṇini. It is a part of the Siddhāntakaumudī that deals with Sanskrit compounds (samāsa). Manuscript is incomplete. A flower is created on the back of the manuscript using primarily the blessing/mantra Śrī as well as mantras praising the deities Śiva and Rāma.

• Title from abbreviations in margins; alternate title Samāsa found in a colophon incorporated into a floral design at the end of the manuscript (f. 86v).
   
• Written in 8-13 lines per leaf.
   
• 69 leaves foliated 18-86, upper left and lower right verso.
   
• Mistakes covered over in yellow or blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins; significant syllables, words, or phrases highlighted in red throughout.
