Summary

Manuscript is a manual for reading and interpreting signs for charting out astrological moments (muhūrta), according to Hindu astrology, that will occur in one's life in order to make the best decisions and elicit the most benefit from it. There is a small astrological chart or table at the end of the work (f. 52v). An extensive, unidentified commentary runs parallel, above and below the root text.

• 55 leaves foliated 1-32, [33-55], upper left and lower right verso.

• Mistakes covered over in yellow or blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins; some significant syllables, words, or phrases highlighted in red through the beginning of the manuscript.
   
• Watermarks with the date 1849 and the company name of Warren & Sons.
   
• Single wooden board with a carved border.
