Contains fifth book of the Mahābhārata, the Book of Effort, telling of the preparations for the epic war, beginning and end correspond with the critical edition (Mahābhārata, V.S. Sukthankar ed., Poona: Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, 1927-); contains an unidentified commentary running throughout, above and below the main text, beginning: Lakṣmībharttuḥ prasarpatpadakamalabhuvaḥ (f. 1v); missing both text and commentary of chapters 35 and 36 (missing f. 59).
