Commentary (uddyota) on the epic text Harivaṃśa, a supplement to the Mahābhārata, focusing on the birth and youth of the Hindu deity Kṛṣṇa and especially establishing his central position in Hindu cosmology. Attributed elsewhere to the author Mahādeva Paṇḍita.

Notes

• Dated: saṃvat 1835 jyeṣṭamāse śuklapakṣe triyodaśyāṃ (Monday, June 8, 1778) (f. 44r).
   
• Folios 1 verso and 44 recto are framed in a very attractive bordering device in yellow, black, and red. In the center of both these folio sides is a drawing of a lotus in deep red, red, green, and yellow. Significant symbols, words, and phrases highlighted in red throughout; triple vertical red lines mark borders of text throughout.
   
• Written in 9-12 lines per leaf.
   
• Non-Latin script record.
