Summary

First part is a short treatise on the performance of obeisances to and veneration of one's teacher (guru) and, using mantras, praising the names of legendary and historical teachers. Presented as a conversation between the Hindu deities Śiva and Pārvatī. Second part, the Mānasikasnānavidhi, is from the Vāmanapurāṇa and deals with methods of mental bathing performed as a meditation.
