Summary

Manuscript is used for consultation and reference and is a kind of treatise and manual for the rules and regulations of Hindu law for constructing or laying the foundation of a house (vāstu). Manuscript includes a diagram divided into nine units and each containing the name of a god and a shape, that may be intended for reproduction over the ground during preparation ceremonies, before construction of the house begins (f. i verso-1r)
