Summary

C. Hermann Berendt's transcription of a vocabulary of 18 words (all nouns) in Chorti along with the English equivalents, extracted from a comparative vocabulary table provided by Albert Gallatin in his article Notes on the semi-civilized nations of Mexico, Yucatan, and Central America (Transactions of the American Ethnological Society, vol. 1, 1845, p. 9); the vocabulary was collected by John Lloyd Stephens at Zacapa, Guatemala (Gallatin, p. 6).
