Summary

Report of the Inquisition's Tribunal de Corte, presided over by Inquisitor General Francisco Perez de Prado y Cuesta, about observances in Madrid for the holy year or jubilee decreed by Pope Benedict XIV for 1750, with details (names of participants and attire) of processions to the parishes of Santa Maria and Santa Cruz, the Colegio de Santo Tomas (Dominican), and the Colegio Imperial de la Compañía de Jesús (Jesuit). The original position of the detached leaf now at the end of the manuscript (f. 31), written by the same scribe, is uncertain.

Formerly bound, possibly with paper covers, only sewing and glued paper remain on spine; a later (19th- or early-20th-century) paper wrapper from an archive has notes on the content and provenance of the manuscript; an alternate title in ink on a label from a later file folder is housed with the manuscript.

Layout

Written in 17-20 long lines; outer margins formed by folding, with an additional vertical fold down the middle of each leaf; folio format.

Script

Written in cursive script in the hand of Juan de Mata Silvestre de Ojeda (title page, f. i recto).
