Summary
This manuscript is a fragment of a fifteenth-century French Gradual.
Notes
- The two preserved calendar leaves contain the obituaries of Margaret, Duchess of Burgundy (January 23, 1423), and Isabella, wife of Philip the Good, Duke of Burgundy (December 16, 1471), suggests the manuscript was executed in Burgundy sometime after 1471 (Wolf); decorative initials bear a strong similarity to those in a Gradual currently housed at the Pierpont Morgan Library (Ms M.115) from the Carthusian monastery of the Holy Trinity at Champmol and may be by the same hand
