Summary
This carta executoria, issued in the name of Philip II of Spain in favor of Juan de Londono of Palacios de Goda in response to his litigation to establish noble status, was written in Valladolid and signed on December 2, 1587. It has elaborate illuminations on the first pages that are typical of this type of document, and the text, written in humanistic script, is enclosed in simple frames of brown and gold and includes occasional illuminated words or letters marking the beginning of sections. The two major quires are sewn with a multicolored cord. Notarial copies of other family documents dated 1685 and 1689 are at the end of the volume.
