Old calf over original (?) wooden boards, blind stamped decoration, remains of metal clasps and leather straps, leather of spine has been repaired, gilded edges; pastedowns and front flyleaf are rules in double columns

One column of eighteen lines; lead point ruling; spaces left blank for small initials on three pages, filled in by a later hand; written area: 88 x 55 mm

One large illuminated initial with foliate extensions; marginal decoration added by a later hand; occasional illuminated and decorated initials throughout
