This manuscript is an early sixteenth-century Book of Hours with a liturgical calendar for Lyon. It is generously illuminated, with twelve full-page miniatures, eighteen smaller miniatures, and illuminated initials. At least five leaves are missing from the manuscript.

• Coat of arms of the family de Farges d'Espeisse of Auvergne, originally from Lyon (argent a chevron azure charged with five estoiles or surmounted by a crescent argent; fol. 21v); second coat of arms of the former on the dexter side dimidiated with Legoué, of Mayenne on the sinister (argent a bend gules charged with three unicorn heads or; also fol. 21v); Laurent Campagne (16th century); Ambrose Firmin-Didot (gilt leather bookplate inside front cover, sold 1884); Thomas Richardson, Boston (stamp in blue ink, front flyleaf recto); John Frederick Lewis, Philadelphia, 1919 (inscription in ink, front flyleaf recto); given by his widow, Anne Baker Lewis, to the Free Library of Philadelphia in 1936.
