Notes

• The first inserted leaf is from a Neapolitan Psalter, mid 15th century; the second inserted leaf is from a Netherlandish book of Hours, mid 15th century
   
• On the large miniature of the Virgin in Glory following the Calendar: the artist is Giovanni Pietro Birago, active in Brecia, Milan, and Venice; there may be some repainting in the illumination; the shield contains the Este arms, but this may be a later addition
