• A pontifical liturgical book includes the instructions and texts for ceremonies performed by a bishop. This initial, for example, begins the rubric for the Consecration of the Paten and Chalice, the liturgical names for the cup and the plate used to hold the consecrated bread and wine of the Eucharist.
