Pre-1600. Dark brown leather over wooden boards, gold tooled.

Layout

Columns: 1 2; ruled lines: 36 40; written lines: 35 39; Ruling is visible. Hair-side and flesh-side of the folios are not distinguishable. Many marginal illuminations and illustrations, which consist mainly of letters and designs, in colors or in colors and gold.

Script

Ashkenazi (French) square and semi-cursive script, partially punctuated. Written by Binyamin: inscribed with his name (folios 142v, 306v, 514r, 535r), the name Binyamin is marked in the text (folios 24v, 26r).
