Columns: 2; ruled lines: 21; written lines: 21; Uniform layout. Hair side and flesh side are distinguishable. Ruled with hard-point. Folio 185 is a later reconstruction. Gilt edges.

Script

Sefardi semi-cursive script, punctuated, of the 15th century.

Provenance

• Acquisition: Prince Augustus Frederick (b. 1773, d. 1843), duke of Sussex: his armorial book-plate (inside back cover); his sale 2 August 1844, lot 315: inscribed ([266v]), purchased by the British Museum by Frederick Madden for £37.
