Layout

Columns: 1; ruled lines: 21; written lines: 20; Uniform layout. Visible pricking and plummet ruling. Initial words written in larger characters. Some of them highlighted with red ink (e.g. folio 105v, 167r). Hair side and flesh side are hardly distinguishable. Several marginal notes in a semi-cursive script.

Script

Ashkenazi square script, partially punctuated.

• Acquisition: Thomas Rodd, the younger (b. 1796, d. 1849): purchased from him by the British Museum on 24 October 1847, Macdonalds' sale, lot 165: inscribed, folio [189v].
