Notes

• Imperfect at the beginning: a large portion is lacking.
   
• Menaḥem ben Shemu᾿el and his daughter Maraviglia bat Menaḥem ben Shemu᾿el: inscribed with their names in the colophon, 26 Kislev 5[2]30 [1469] (folio 112r).
   
• Folio 113: originally belonged to a different manuscript, written in a different but contemporary script, with coloured marginal illuminations on both sides of the leaf.

Ashkenazi square (punctuated) and Italian semi-cursive (unpunctuated) script; Sefardi punctuated square script (on folios 113r -113v). Yo᾿el ben Shim῾on Feibush: inscribed with his name in the colophon, 26 Kislev 5[2]30 [1469] (folio 112r).

Provenance

• Acquisition: Giuseppe Almanzi (b. 1801, d. 1860), bibliophile; his manuscript no. 67: his library including 322 medieval Hebrew manuscripts were purchased en bloc by the British Museum in October 1865 for £1,000 through Asher & Co., Berlin dealer to the British Museum (see 131-153: inscribed, [115v].
