Columns: 1 2; ruled lines: 24 54; written lines: 24 54; Non-uniform layout. A number of leaves oversized and folded. Catchwords on every page. Initial words and headings in larger characters. Numerous marginal notes and additions. Original Hebrew folation near the end.

Script

Italian cursive script of the 17th century. Partly written by Solomon Portaleone and Samuel Portaleone.

• Acquisition: Giuseppe Almanzi (b. 1801, d. 1860), bibliophile; his manuscript no. 121: his library including 322 medieval Hebrew manuscripts were purchased en bloc by the British Museum in October 1865 for £1,000 through Asher & Co., Berlin bookseller and dealer to the British Museum: inscribed, folio [312v] (fse005v).
