Columns: 1; ruled lines: 22; written lines: 22; Pricking and hard-point ruling is visible. Flesh-side and hair-side of the folio is discernible. Has some marginal notes.

Script

Ashkenazi semi-cursive script, unpunctuated, of approximately 1060-1170 (late 11th up to mid 12th century).

Provenance

• Acquisition: Giuseppe Almanzi (b. 1801, d. 1860), bibliophile; his manuscript no. 279; his library including 322 medieval Hebrew manuscripts were purchased en bloc by the British Museum in October 1865 for £1,000 through Asher & Co., Berlin dealer to the British Museum (see 131-153).
