• Defective at the beginning and at the end.
   
• Margins as well as first and last few folios much damaged.
   
• Lacuna after folio 2.
   
• Additional comments in different handwriting are found throughout in the margins.

Layout

Columns: 1 2; ruled lines: 14 51; written lines: 12 49; Non-uniform layout, with varying number of lines a page. Visible pricking and hard-point ruling. Initial words written in larger characters. Some letters written in red ink (see folios 127v-135r). Hair side and flesh side are distinguishable. Most of the margins are occupied with the commentary. The left margin left for commentary by the scribe has also in some cases been cut away (e.g., folios 86, 97-98). Censor's erasures, e.g., folios 30v, 38r.

Script

Ashkenazi square and semi-cursive script, partially punctuated, of the 13th to 14th century.
