Post-1600. Red leather binding with gold and black tooling, in dark brown leather gold-tooled box. Boxed. Spine: 'Liber Institutionum Sabbati. Mus. Brit. Ex Legato Anne Kennicott. 8881.'

Layout

Columns: 1; ruled lines: 16 20; written lines: 16 20; Uniform layout. Visible hard-point ruling. Hair side and flesh side of the folios indistinguishable. Initial words written in larger characters. Many pages contain pen and ink illustrations. Each page enclosed in a pen and ink frame. Running title in the first part of the manuscript. Catchwords given on every page. Gilt edges.

Script

Sefardi square and semi cursive script (the 'Amsterdam font') of the early 18th century. Punctuated.
