Layout

Columns: 3; ruled lines: 28; written lines: 28; Masorah magna occupies three lines in the upper and four lines in the lower margin, where it sometimes forms micrographic patterns (e.g. 25v, 26r). Pricking and ruling (with hard-point on the hair side of the folio) are visible.

Script

Sefardi square script, main text is punctuated and accentuated, the masorah is unpunctuated.

Provenance

• Acquisition: Moses Wilhelm Shapira (b. 1830, d. 1884), a antiquities dealer of Jerusalem: purchased by the British Museum from him on 24 November 1899: inscribed ( [129v]).
