Columns: 1 2; ruled lines: 25 40; written lines: 25 40; The beginnings of the weekly sections are marked by small pen and ink designs in the margins, other liturgical indications are marked with Hebrew letters. At the end of the weekly sections are the masoretic statements relating to the number of verses and simanim. At the end of Genesis there is an additional masoretic rubric.

Script

Yemenite square and semi-cursive script of 17th century, partially punctuated and accentuated. Yosef ben Se῾adya ben Yosef ben Daṿid: inscribed in the colophon, folio 300v and in volume 3, Or 2230, folio 110v.

Provenance

• Acquisition: Moses Wilhelm Shapira (b. 1830, d. 1884), an antiquities dealer of Jerusalem: purchased by the British Library from him on 10 April 1880, folio 304v.
