Pre-1600. An original box tooled leather binding (the clasps and spine may be of a later date).

Layout

Columns: 2; ruled lines: 22; written lines: 22; The beginning of the first few pericopes is marked by the letter samekh in the margin. Each pericope is divided into 7 sections numbered with Hebrew letters in the margin or in the text itself. An open section is generally distinguished by a blank line. Masorah magna usually occupies two lines in the upper and two lines in the lower margin. In the Hafṭarot the upper and lower margin is occupied by midrashic comments in Hebrew and partly in Arabic (in Hebrew characters).

Yemenite square and semi-cursive script, punctuated, of the second part of the 15th century.
