Former Prophets, accentuated and punctuated, with masorah magna and parva.

Notes

• Folios 86, 118, 127, 130-132, 135, 137, 149, 187 are mutilated, with loss of text.
   
• There are number of marginal comments in various parts of the manuscript, taken for the most part from Rashi, Radak abd Rabenu Yeshayah (e.g. 139v, 51v), written approximately in 16th and 17th century handwriting.
   
• Folio 192r, a Judeo-Arabic inscription.
   
• Folios 193v-195r, a number of Hebrew poems, some verses in Judeo-Arabic.
   
• Yeshu'ah ben Ya῾aḳov ben Yehudah Al-Habishi, inscribed with his name in the colophon, folio 190v, with a date of 1500.

Layout

Columns: 1; ruled lines: 20; written lines: 20; Uniform layout. Masorah magna in generally one line in the lower and in the upper margin of the page. A number of masoretic notes given at the end of each books. Hebrew poems on folios 193v and 194v written in rectangular shapes and punctuated. Chapters marked with Hebrew letters by a later hand, but not throughout the entire manuscript.

Yemenite square script, punctuated.

Provenance

• Acquisition: Moses Wilhelm Shapira (b. 1830, d. 1884), a antiquities dealer of Jerusalem: purchased by the British Library from him on 23 July 1881 (folio [197v]).
