• Avraham ha-Kohen wrote the present manuscript for his son, Yosef. The name of the latter is inscribed under the title of each Muḳadimah.

Script

Square and semi-cursive Oriental script of the 17th century. Avraham ben Mordekhai ha-Kohen: inscribed, folio 220v, and volume 3, folio 126v.

Provenance

• Acquisition: Moses Wilhelm Shapira (b. 1830, d. 1884), a antiquities dealer of Jerusalem: purchased by the British Library from him on 08 July 1882: inscribed, folio [258v].
