Layout

Columns: 1 3; ruled lines: 21; written lines: 21; Uniform layout. Visible hard-point ruling and, occasionally, pricking. Initial words and titles written in larger characters. Pen and ink decorated catchwords (see e.g. folio 26v, 34v).

Script

Oriental square and semi-cursive script, punctuated, of the 15th century.

Provenance

• Acquisition: Moses Wilhelm Shapira (b. 1830, d. 1884), an antiquities dealer of Jerusalem: purchased from him by the British Museum on 08 July 1882: inscribed, folio [61v].
