Columns: 1 2; ruled lines: 29 30; written lines: 29 30; Uniform layout. Visible mastara ruling. Initial words written in larger square characters. Leaf catchwords on every verso. Numerous marginal notes and additions. Headings partly with penwork decoration.

Script

Yemenite semi-cursive script of the 17th century, puctuated. Zekharia ben Se῾adyah Alma῾alim: inscribed, folio 177v.

Provenance

• Acquisition: Moses Wilhelm Shapira (b. 1830, d. 1884), antiquities dealer of Jerusalem: purchased by the British Museum from him on 10 October 1883: inscribed, folio [228v].
